Ladies section news

Falkirk Tryst Ladies have had another busy and successful year.

Our nominated Charity this year was Strathcarron Hospice. Money was mainly raised during the Team Charity Day in which 51 teams took part., with smaller amounts added from the raffle at our Ladies Open and the Club Pro’s Day. A cheque for £4772.30 was presented to Strathcarron Hospice at our prize giving and dinner on 13th Oct.

Over the last 17 years the ladies section have raised in excess of £108,000 for various local charities.

Other highlights of the year have included:

Lady Captains Mystery Competition -Tingle Tangle Tongle Fun event; Grand National Afternoon Tea; Club Championships; Golf Outing to Canmore; Tryst Ladies Open, this year with 100 ladies entering the event.

Our own Solheim Cup Day sees the Lady Captain (Shiona) leading the Europe Team and Vice Captain (Moira) the USA Team. Everyone taking part really does enter the spirit of things and adorns bright colours for her team. Once again, team USA defeated team Europe at the Prizegiving and dinner with 40 ladies attending.

At our AGM  at end of Oct the Committee for 2017-2018 was elected:
